Where the magic starts!
You may not know these happy guys, but they are the ones responsible for the unbelievable quality of music that you are accustomed to at BIMF! There are no better sound engineers! Under paid, under fed, and sleep deprived they march on each year to see that the BIMF musicians have the best sound quality and that you have the best time of your lives. In our early years Chris Macintosh 2002, Stephen Garcia, and Charles Hughes 2003 were the festivals starting sound engineering crew. Martin Klemm (Kalamazoo Recording Company) strolled into our festival doing a documentary in 2006 and from that point on he was guaranteed to be up in the treehouse making history! He brought along Erik Pye the right hand man. In 2013 Martin brought us Bryan Heaney to pass along the future historic sound quality torch. In 2014 Bryan brought us Garrett! So the next time you see one of these unbelievably hard working gents let them know you appreciate the work they do to see that BIMF is always top notch!
