Bailey McDonough

Bailey joined the Beaver Island Music Festival board in January of 2016. She became the Board secretary at that time.

Bailey was born and raised on Beaver Island and graduated from Beaver Island Community School in 2007. She worked at the Beaver Island Rural Health Center as well as her family’s businesses on Beaver Island while in high school. She then went on to study nursing at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City. She worked in Munson Medical Center’s Emergency Department for about 3 years while finishing up her studies. She then became a registered nurse at an inpatient Medical/Surgical unit at Munson where she worked for just over a year before moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is now a registered nurse at Metro Heath, University of Michigan Health where she works in a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit.

Bailey joined the Beaver Island Music Festival board because of her passion for the island and her love for the music and the arts. “I want to help promote and carry on a tradition that I had the opportunity to experience while growing up on Beaver Island. BIMF is a wonderful way to bring people to the place that I fortunately get to call home.”
