Beaver Island Music Festival was founded in 2003 by a small group of people who had a vision.Their vision was to bring talented musicians and artists to the island to make “Music in the Woods”. Due to the increasing growth and popularity of this unique Michigan festival BIMF established itself as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 2013.
In 2018 in order to expand the Beaver Island Music Festival Inc. mission our group of dedicated board members agreed that changing the name of the overseeing organization to Patrons of the Arts in Rural Communities would be the first step in creating that broader vision for the future of BIMF.
Beaver Island Music Festival promotes the variety and tradition of all music and art. We want to create opportunities for all artists, be an educational resource, and strongly encourage community and family involvement in an outdoor environment combining nature, renewable energies, music, and artwork. Our main goal is to bring attention to the beautiful world that we live in (especially Beaver Island) by uniting all of these talents and people.
If you have an interest in becoming more involved in the Beaver Island Music Festival Organization we encourage you to join us at one of our scheduled meetings. Please contact us at 231-330-9945 for more information and location for next meeting. Click here to view our schedule.
