Did you know the first festival was on a flatbed trailer and that the three people who had this idea would not invite anyone! Can you believe it? Thank goodness for the fourth person who asked everyone, and amazingly, 75 people + 40 Burton family and friends showed up for a total of 115. Now over 1500 festival-goers attend BIMF each year.

With the help of our donors, Beaver Island Music Festival has been creating lasting memories since 2003 by bringing beautiful music to the island with this fun, family-friendly event. Over 1000+ talented individuals making up an astounding 250+ groups have performed a diverse and wide range of musical genres on our stages.

Due to our unique location and significant growth, donations are necessary to cover operating expenses, such as administrative costs, production equipment, and the growing costs of the musicians that perform.
